The Discussion to include: A review of the current Risk Management/Public Works claims environment, analysis of some statistics on claims frequency and emphasis on the importance of the work the public works performs and what anyone involved in a public works project can do to minimize liability. Best Practices Programs for Public Works (Examples: Sidewalk Ordinances, 50-50 programs for Sidewalk Repairs, Sewer Mapping and Robotic Cameras, Capital Assessment Districts, etc).
