Mathcount Program
The NorCal Chapter of the APWA has been assisting this program for the past several years by providing volunteers to assist two Mathcount events in the Bay Area. Two events are scheduled for the first and last Saturdays in February, and will take place at the Harvest Park Middle School in Pleasanton on February 2nd and at UC Berkeley Campus on and on February 22nd. Volunteers will assist teachers and program staff in each of the competition activities. It is easy and fun!

Volunteers are needed to assist in one or more of the following competition activities:
•   8:00 am to   9:30 am Initial Setup
•   9:00 am to 12:00 pm Competition (proctoring/scoring)
• 11:30 am to   1:30 pm Final Countdown and Awards

Ideally, the organizers need fifteen volunteers for each event (thirty for both events).

Some of you are regular volunteers, and as you already know, the teachers, parents and the students continue to appreciate your contribution. We hope to see newer volunteers to join our “volunteer” program. Please pass this message to others at your offices.
